What is EDX?
edX is an open online degree provider developed by Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In order to be an active participant, you must first complete the application process and meet the academic requirements of edX, which includes a student’s performance during the previous year. You must then take a qualifying exam to determine whether or not you have met the minimum requirements. Once you are approved as an active participant, you can now log onto the edX website and apply for the courses you wish to take. You can choose to take any course that has been designated by the university or school that you are enrolled at. Once you have taken the courses, you are automatically registered and enrolled. In order to apply for the courses, you must fill out the application form and submit it in order to register. After receiving your certificate, you will be sent a link to enroll in the online classes that you selected.
After completing your online courses, you will have to either renew your membership, if you decide to change your enrollment location or get an invitation to take classes through the University of California, Los Angeles. If you change your registration location, you will need to renew your registration within 30 days. Once you get an invitation, you can now attend classes online or offline.
